Our Process

We offer our support to architects and designers to materialize their artistic vision into reality. We can start the process with a sketch on a napkin, architectural drawings, or a digital scan of an existing architectural element. We leverage our expertise to convert this data into a tangible product that reflects your vision.

The Forma Process

  • Schedule a design consultation call with the client.

  • Provide a preliminary budget estimate based on the initial design concepts.

  • Collaborate with the client to refine and finalize the design.

  • Provide a formal, detailed quote based on the final design.

  • Receive the client's signed acceptance of the quote.

  • Create shop drawings and produce a custom sample for the client's approval.

  • Begin manufacturing the final product and ship it to the client.

FORMA Beyond specializes in creating unique architectural surfaces, commissioned art pieces, and replications using a wide range of materials. Our material selection process takes into account various design requirements, including environment (indoor or outdoor), desired aesthetics, texture, color, performance, maintenance, and cost considerations.

Our materials offer exceptional versatility, impact resistance, durability, low maintenance, and ease of fabrication for installations. We utilize a diverse range of materials such as Class "A" Polyurea, High Density Urethane (HDU), Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum (GFRG), Epoxy Resins, Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC), as well as natural and composite wood products.

At FORMA Beyond, we provide not only high-quality products but also comprehensive installation instructions to ensure our products are properly installed by third-party installers.

Composite Materials Available include

  • Super-light weight, ASTM E-84, and UL723 rated Class A fire retardant material for interior and exterior applications, easily formable, with a high degree of stiffness and durability, chemical, moisture, and abrasion resistant. Environmentally friendly with a sustainable (75-year) life span, emits no off-gasses or VOCs during manufacturing or installation, is recyclable, and easily maintained.

  • Interior and exterior, high strength, stable and durable material that is highly moisture resistant, stable, available in thicknesses up to 12' bocks that can be accurately milled into complex shapes and surfaces. HDU is also FAR-approved for fire retardancy.

  • Organic, non-flammable material with integrated glass fiber reinforcing for high-strength, thin, free-form artistic creations.

  • A high-strength, plastic material that is easily tinted and formable into complex clear or translucent shapes.

  • Exterior, non-flammable material that includes integrated glass fiber reinforcing allowing for typical concrete sections and complex contoured shapes to be produced in significantly thinner and lighter configurations.
